Favorites from Hitchcock

Lifeboat, starring Tallulah Bankhead concludes our "Favorite Hitchcock Film" series on Monday, June 2, at 6 p.m. at the Main Library.

Library staff and friends pick and introduce their favorite movie from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. The film series "My Favorite Hitchcock Film Is…" runs Mondays at 6 p.m. in the second-floor Events Room at the Main Library downtown.

May 5 – Rear Window (1954), starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly. An injured photographer, eavesdropping on his neighbors, discovers a possible murder.

May 12 – To Catch a Thief (1955), starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Former cat-burgler Grant is accused of returning to a life of crime on the beautiful Riviera.

May 19 – The Birds (1963), starring Tippi Hedren and Rod Taylor. Strange goings-on in a small California town.

June 2 – Lifeboat (1944), starring Tallulah Bankhead. Survivors of a torpedoed ship find themselves in the same boat with the man who sank it. Jennifer Garlen will introduce the film.
