To celebrate National Library Week, the Eleanor Murphy Library will hold an open house on Tuesday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The public is invited to this event, hosted by the Eleanor Murphy Friends of the Library. Admission is free. There will be a children’s story time with a craft, refreshments, and a chance to learn more about library programs and services, and its Friends group.
The Showers Center Friends of the Library will hold the third annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, April 13, starting at 8 a.m. on the grounds of the Richard Showers Center, 4600 Blue Spring Road.
It’s a good way to get some exercise while helping the library expand its programs and services to the community. The walk will be especially beneficial in light of another Showers Friends fundraiser: Krispy Kreme doughnut coupons.
