Tasia Malakasis, owner of the famed Belle Chèvre fromagerie in rural North Alabama, will talk about her passion and philosophy on food during a tasting event at the Madison Public Library on Saturday, November 17, at 2 p.m.
Just in time for Thanksgiving you can pick up a copy of her new book, Tasia’s Table, sample some of her delicious recipes, and hear stories about her journey to cheesemaker and author. The Friends of the Madison Public Library invites area non-profit groups to participate in their first annual “Festival of Wreaths”, a program designed to celebrate the holiday spirit and showcase artists and community organizations in and around Madison. On Saturday, November 10, we will have a workshop to give you additional ideas for your wreaths and how to promote your non-profit group. The workshop will be from 1-2 p.m. at the Madison Public Library.
The workshop is free and sign-ups are not required.

The Friends of the Library at the Showers Center Public Library will host a dessert fundraiser on Saturday, November 3, starting at 11 a.m., at the main Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, 915 Monroe St.
A variety of homemade treats will be available. Proceeds will purchase new picture books and other items to make the Showers Center Public Library’s children’s department that much sweeter.
