What is happiness? Is it possible to truly attain? And if so, how?

These are questions we will be examining from two unique perspectives, in a special two-part lecture series just in time for the holidays.

In the first installment on Sunday, November 21, Dr. Gitendra Uswatte from the University of Alabama, Birmingham will present fascinating insights from the field of psychology, about how we perceive and experience happiness.

On Thursday, December 16, Dr. Erik Angner from the University of Alabama, Birmingham will speak about what great philosophical thinkers can teach us about the nature of happiness, and people's constant struggle to attain it.

Both events will take place in the second floor events room of the Main branch.

These events are free, and open to the public. Please contact Luisa at lmorenilla@hmcpl.org with any questions about these events. Read more about The Philosophy of Happiness
