The Madison City Council of PTA is a non-profit organization which
coordinates and assists the individual PTAs in Madison City Schools.
It exists to promote the welfare of children and youth and encourage partnership between parents, the community and schools.

Girl Talk and Guy Talk are programs designed to help preteens and their parents prepare for adolescence. Classes are held separately for boys and girls accompanied by a parent. Topics of discussion include maturation and physical development, adolescent nutrition, emotional changes of puberty, self-esteem issues, peer pressure and decision-making. A professional in a comfortable, supportive environment teaches each class.
The Girl Talk/Guy Talk programs seek to educate children and their parents on the issues of adolescent maturation, and foster communication by opening avenues of dialogue between parent and child. Class size is limited, and the recommended age for participants is 9-12 years old, however classes are available for participants ages 11-13.

Rise School of Huntsville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing
the highest quality of early childhood education services to eligible
children with diverse abilities.
Village of Promise will provide a pipeline of services and support from
birth through college for the following neighborhood: bounded by Sparkman
Drive (West), Holmes Avenue (South), Pulaski Pike (East) and Oakwood Avenue
(North). They plan to expand from University Place Elementary School to
Westlawn Middle and Butler High Schools.

Huntsville Vegans is a community group dedicated to advancing veganism and
animal rights in North Alabama and the world, through creative nonviolent vegan
education and outreach. We aim to be a vital resource for information, support,
and friendship for anyone considering the ethical, environmental, and health
benefits of veganism and a plant-based diet. The world is vegan, if you want it.

A twelve week, one-on-one program to help men develop nurturance skills to better interact with their children. Some of the topics include improving communication skills, how to be a good role model, parenting commitment, and fathering without violence or fear.
