New Hope Quilt Show

Learn about the history of quilts and their modern incarnations during “Quilts Then and Now,” a show sponsored by the New Hope Friends of the Library, on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

StoryCorps listening party

Hear some of the personal histories saved during the recent StoryCorps recording sessions at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. WLRH will host a StoryCorp listening party on Thursday, April 3, starting at 5 p.m. at the Main Library downtown.

Health insurance assistance

Volunteers with Bama Covered will be at the Main Library on Monday, March 31, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. to help people sign up for health insurance in accordance with the Affordable Care Act.

Internet Safety Policy review

The Library Board of Directors will review the Internet Safety Policy at the Board meeting on Wednesday, March 19 at 4:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the Main Library.

FREE Financial Literacy classes available to the public at Madison's Hogan Family YMCA

We are incredibly excited to announce that our second set of public financial literacy classes will be held at Madison's Hogan Family YMCA!

These classes are taught by non-biased financial professionals or educators and are geared towards beginning investors in an effort to the provide information to help you begin creating effective investment strategies.

A light lunch will be served.
